Habitat for Humanity of Omaha (HFHO) raises its own funds through tax-deductible private contributions from civic groups, individuals, corporations, faith communities, and foundations. HFHO does not accept government funds for the construction of houses. Homes are sold to partner families at no profit, and financed with affordable, no-interest loans. Homeowners' monthly mortgage payments go into a local fund that is used to build more Habitat homes.
