Teambuilding is a unique way to get your company involved with Habitat for Humanity of Omaha. We hope the information contained on this page helps you make an informed decision about having your business partner with Habitat for Humanity of Omaha.
As you may or may not be aware, Habitat for Humanity builds homes in partnership with low-income families who find themselves in need of decent, affordable and safe housing. We rely heavily upon volunteer labor to help us reach this goal.
Our Team-Building program is another way to further engage the local work force as volunteers. This program is mutually beneficial to Habitat and your place of business because it combines physical efforts on the worksite with a financial contribution enabling us to purchase more tools and building materials.
Participants of the Team-Building program enjoy a more comprehensive volunteer experience than other volunteer groups because this program includes an in-depth orientation, lunch and end of day reflection session. Habitat is ultimately able to increase work capacity within our community through the financial contribution made by your company. The Team-Building program offers co-workers the opportunity to build a home together creating a sense of unity among members of your work environment. The program also has the potential to increase understanding of each other’s abilities and work ethics.
The recommended donation for a Teambuilding workday is:

We offer volunteer opportunities from Wednesday through Saturday between the hours of 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. Teambuilding days can be scheduled by calling the Habitat for Humanity office (402.457.5657) and speaking with the volunteer coordinator. You should reserve your space no later than two weeks in advance for week days and should plan on scheduling your group at least one month in advance if you are interested in working on a Saturday.
