Everybody needs a good friend. Habitat for Humanity of Omaha is blessed to have many! Habitat Omaha FRIENDS is a volunteer group dedicated to the advancement and growth of the organization through fundraising and friend raising efforts. Their 2010 fundrasing events include the Women's Power Lunch on Thursday, April 29 (view the invitation), the Brew HaHa on Thursday, Sept. 9 and the Second Annual Raise the Roof Gala on Thursday, Nov. 4 (view photos from the 2009 Gala). Norma Fletcher (left) and Ro Simpson both began their journey with Habitat in 1999. The two women met on the work site of the Women's Build 1999 and have become good friends and team leaders. After serving in numerous capacities with Habitat, they became co-leaders of the Women's Build 2009. Norma and Ro remain dedicated to Habitat by volunteering their time and talents to end substandard housing in the community and across the globe. |

| Mary Jo Langdon and her daughters have given generously of their time, talents, and support of the Omaha community for many years. Mary Jo has been active in many worthwhile organizations including the YWCA, The Ak-Sar-Ben Women's Ball Committee, the Omaha Symphony Debutante Ball committee, Opera Omaha, St. Augustine Indian Mission and Liz's Legacy-Kicks for a Cure. Mary Jo's daughters follow in their mother's footsteps and are actively involved in diff erent organizations and excel in their own realms. Mary Jo and husband Bob are proud that their daughters continue to be involved and make a diff erence either through the universities they attend or through their own communities. | |
