Habitat For Humanity of Omaha History
More Than 25 Years in Omaha
In 1984 Habitat for Humanity of Omaha was incorporated in the state of Nebraska and became an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. The very first Habitat Omaha house was a rennovation in North Omaha and it took two years to complete. Today a new home typically takes a volunteer crew 13 weeks from start to finish. Habitat Omaha completed 16 homes in 2006, 21 homes in 2007, 22 homes in 2008 and 25 in 2009. We are on schedule to complete a total of 27 homes in 2010. Below are a few Habitat Omaha milestones.
