Have you heard of Steampunk? You will have a unique opportunity to work side by side with a talented local artist in creating your own customized art piece on Thursday, June 20. The goal of Steampunk is to redesign an item using materials like polished brass, wood, iron and leather that mimic the Victorian Era and are much simpler in construction than what they appear. The piece that each of the participants will create can be used in a variety of ways, a fan pull, key chain or even a necklace all made from items at Habitat ReStore as well as other found objects. |
